Marabino - Vino da Rimessa

Vino da Rimessa (Morbido), even if an Italian proverb says that a cockroach thinks her son is cute, is literally our beautiful baby. Born from a couple of rows of vines of Giacchè and Parigina, which Pierpaolo couldn’t use as they are not permitted in the Nero d’Avola DOC wines, this wine sat silently waiting to be selected by us to do a private label wine and bring him to life. Tasting from the barrels, it was love at first taste and we immediately saw the potential in this wine. Nothing felt better than when Pierpaolo brought us the first bottle to try which confirmed 1000 times over that we made a great decision. Only 300 bottles can be made each year and this is wine with no vintage, as it comes from 3 different vintages.  It’s gone from our shop before it ever even arrives.  

A unique red wine that is smooth, mellow and balances a crisp freshness with delicate wild berry notes, made from Parigina and Giacchè grapes, and aged in used oak barrels.
