Albamocco - Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Monello 2018

Albamocco, located between the wine-growing villages of Castelplanio and Poggio San Marcello in the province of Ancona, is a project driven by a deep love for the Marche region. Young and passionate Alessandra Venturi and her husband Filippo Russotto found their passion for winemaking after an unexpected encounter with a local winemaker. Their Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Monello is crafted from Verdicchio grapes grown in clay and limestone-rich soils. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape’s fresh and vibrant character, followed by aging on the lees for several months. The result is a wine with bright acidity, a crisp structure, and a touch of minerality. Albamocco’s commitment to sustainable farming and biodynamic practices ensures that each bottle is a genuine expression of their love for the Marche and its terroir.  A wine that is fresh and super approachable, just like Alessandra and Filippo.
