Antonio Mele - Cuculia

Antonio Mele, a passionate winemaker in Sardinia, is dedicated to reviving the ancient Granazza grape variety. His vineyards are located in the mountainous terrain of Sardinia, where the granitic and sandy soils impart a unique character to the wine. The Granazza Cuculia undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts, followed by aging on the lees for several months. This approach enhances the wine’s texture and complexity while preserving its natural acidity. Antonio Mele’s commitment to organic farming and traditional winemaking techniques ensures that each bottle of Granazza Cuculia is a true representation of Sardinia’s rich viticultural heritage.  This unique white grape to the area of Mamoiada maintains a fresh minerality while exuding the soul and body of a red wine.
