Giovanni Arcari and Nico Danesi, the visionaries behind the winery, are dedicated to showcasing the unique qualities of their terroir through sustainable practices. The vineyards, planted in morainic soils rich in limestone, provide the perfect conditions for producing high-quality Chardonnay. The primary fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, and the secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, followed by 24 months of aging on the lees. This Saten style wine, known for its lower pressure and finer bubbles, offers a smooth and harmonious palate with well-integrated acidity and a touch of minerality. Arcari & Danesi’s meticulous care in the vineyard and cellar ensures that their Franciacorta Saten embodies the elegance and complexity of the region.

Arcari e Danesi

Arcari e Danesi was born out of a friendship and a shared curiosity. Giovanni Arcari and Nico Danesi met while working in wine communication and decided to take a more hands-on approach—by starting their own winery in Franciacorta. From the start, they chose to do things differently, questioning established practices and focusing on a more natural, transparent way of making sparkling wine.
They farm organically on the slopes of Mount Orfano, and they work with native yeasts and minimal intervention ion the cellar, using only grape must instead of added sugar. The result is clean and precise and the winery remains small and independent.
