Bakkanali, located on the volcanic slopes of Monte Amiata in Tuscany, produces wines that reflect the natural, untamed environment of the area. The K 2023 is made entirely from Sangiovese, sourced from vineyards at high elevations that benefit from cooler temperatures and mineral-rich soils. The grapes are fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in stainless steel to preserve their purity and freshness. The result is a vibrant, fruit-driven wine with aromas of ripe red fruit, herbs, and a touch of spice. With its lively acidity and mineral undertones, K is an expression of the unique terroir of Monte Amiata—fresh, mineral-driven, and perfect for pairing with a variety of Tuscan dishes.

Bakkanali

Bakkanali was founded by Sebastian Nasello and Ugo Fabbri, two friends who decided to return to their roots after years of experience in other regions. They chose Monte Amiata, in southern Tuscany—a place they knew well, but that had been largely overlooked in the world of wine. Its altitude and volcanic soils offered exactly the kind of starting point they were looking for. They farm around five and a half hectares of vineyards, set between 600 and 800 meters above sea level. The farming is organic, and the cellar is designed to be essential and functional, allowing them to work without unnecessary intervention. Everything is done in-house and on a small scale, with the aim of producing wines that reflect the place clearly, without shortcuts.
