Borgogno Francesco, a family-run estate in the Barolo region, has been producing wine since the early 20th century. The Barolo Brunate 2020 comes from one of the most celebrated vineyards in the Langhe, known for its calcareous-clay soils and ideal exposure. The Brunate cru is renowned for producing wines with depth, complexity, and aging potential. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in large Slavonian oak barrels, this Barolo expresses the power and elegance of Nebbiolo. Borgogno Francesco

Rooted at the meeting point of Cannubi and Brunate hills in Barolo, this family estate was born in the 1930s and traces its soul even further back to Bartolomeo Borgogno in the 18th century. Today, guided by Francesco's sons and granddaughter—Giancarlo, Claudio, and Silvia—the vineyards still yield Nebbiolo from the calcareous-marl of Brunate, hand-tended at 350 m above sea level. In the cellar, tradition reigns: long macerations, and patient ageing in enormous oak casks. The result is a Barolo that is timeless, elegant, and resolute.
