Cantina Dessena, based in the heart of Sardinia’s Goceano region, is dedicated to reviving and preserving the island’s native grape varieties. Located in the village of Benetutti, the estate cultivates Arvisionadu—an exceptionally rare grape found almost exclusively in this area. The vineyard benefits from a distinctive microclimate and mineral-rich soils, which contribute to the wine’s refined aromatic profile and freshness. Grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with precision to maintain their floral and citrus character. Fauledda 2023 shows a pale straw hue with green reflections and reveals delicate aromas of white flowers and citrus peel. On the palate, it is bright and linear, with a clean, mineral-driven finish. The name “Fauledda” pays homage to the local dialect and to the deep cultural ties the Dessena family maintains with their land.
