Omestica 2019 from Cantina di Neoneli is a 100% Cannonau produced by a small collective of winemakers in Sardinia. Formed by three friends—Marco, Samuel, and Salvatore—the winery was born out of a desire to preserve the identity and traditions of their territory. Their vineyards, covering 6 hectares, were once at risk of falling into disrepair, but through dedication and a commitment to organic farming, the team has revived the land. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously with 20 days of maceration, followed by 12 months of aging in raw cement barrels and 8 months in the bottle. Unfiltered and organic, this wine is an authentic expression of Sardinia’s terroir, with bold red fruit, earthy undertones, and balanced acidity.
