De Simone - Langhe Nebbiolo 2019

A relatively new name in the Barolo region, De Simone has quickly established itself through its focused and natural approach to Nebbiolo. This 2019 vintage is sourced from vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba, where the soils and elevation are ideal for the variety. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts, followed by aging in large oak casks that gently round out the structure without masking the fruit. The wine opens with classic notes of red cherry, rose petals, and licorice, evolving into hints of mint and spice. On the palate, it is structured and vibrant, with firm tannins and a long finish. A textbook Nebbiolo, this is both elegant and precise—true to the terroir and the variety’s noble character.
