Domaine de la Charbonnière, managed by the Maret family since 1912, is a highly respected estate in the heart of Châteauneuf du Pape. The vineyards are spread across multiple parcels, with Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre vines.
The grapes were harvested by hand and fermented with natural yeasts, preserving the purity of the fruit. The resulting wine is complex and expressive, with aromas of ripe strawberries, black cherries, and licorice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a core of red and dark fruit, supple tannins, and a mineral-driven finish.
