La Staffa - Mai Sentito Plus
In the province of Ancona, Riccardo Baldi produces artisanal wines with a strong territorial identity. Twelve hectares of vineyards cultivated mainly with Verdicchio.The height of his vineyards fluctuates between 400 and 500 meters above sea level on a clay and limestone soil, rich in calcium carbonate, which gives that elegant minerality and flavor to his wines.
Riccardo is in love with this land and has an almost visceral relationship with Verdicchio. When he talks about this historic grape variety he always does so with great respect, trying to bring back memories of ancient refermentation methods, largely replaced with the autoclave, claiming to be the first in the Marche region to reuse bottle refermentation with Verdicchio, called precisely the "Never Heard".
This is the "Mai Sentito Plus", another version of the orginal "Mai Sentito", made up of a blend of grapes of 90% Trebbiano and 10% Moscato Giallo, with a 7 days long skin contact and referementation in the bottle.
