Pedra Niedda Tenute - Basca 2024

Pedra Niedda is a young winery rooted in the inland Mandrolisai region of Sardinia, founded by Enrico and Susanna—partners in life and in their mission to highlight the island’s indigenous grapes. Basca 2024 is crafted from Bovale Sardo, a variety traditionally grown in the area and known for its vibrant structure and depth. The grapes are sourced from trusted local growers and vinified with minimal intervention to preserve their authentic character. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, with partial aging in French oak tonneaux, followed by a few months of maturation in steel. The wine opens with aromas of red berries and wild herbs, and evolves on the palate with notes of plum, spice, and soft minerality. Fresh yet structured, Basca captures the raw beauty of Sardinia’s interior landscape. The project reflects a modern spirit grounded in tradition, producing wines that are expressive, approachable, and true to their origins.
