Perillo - Taurasi Riserva 2011

Perillo is one of the most respected producers in Taurasi, where the Aglianico grape reigns supreme. The Perillo family has been farming the same vineyards for generations, and their philosophy is rooted in tradition and patience. They believe in letting the wine develop slowly, both in the vineyard and the cellar, allowing it to reach its full potential over time. Winemaker Michele Perillo is known for his hands-off approach, trusting in the natural characteristics of the Aglianico grape to produce powerful, long-lived wines.
This Taurasi Riserva was aged for 36 months in large oak barrels. It offers deep aromas of black cherry, dried figs, tobacco, and spices, with a hint of leather. Michele Perillo’s Taurasi is built for long aging and pairs well with rich meats, stews, or aged cheeses.
