Rizzi is one of the most respected estates in Barbaresco, known for its deeply expressive, terroir-driven Nebbiolo wines that balance power and elegance. The Boito vineyard, situated in the Treiso subzone, is one of the highest-elevation sites in Barbaresco, sitting at 300–350 meters above sea level. This altitude plays a crucial role in producing wines with exceptional aromatic lift, refined tannins, and long aging potential.
This single-vineyard Barbaresco undergoes traditional fermentation with extended maceration, followed by aging in large Slavonian oak casks for 24 months.
The nose has layers of dried roses, violets, red berries and hints of sweet tobaccoOn the palate, it is structured and refined, with fine-grained tannins, high acidity, and a persistent finish that carries notes of earthy spice, iron, and dried red fruits.
This Barbaresco Boito is built for long-term aging, evolving into a wine of profound elegance and complexity over the next two decades.

Rizzi

Rizzi winery was founded in 1974, on the ancient nineteenth-century family farms, thanks to Ernesto Dellapiana. Growing up with a passion for Langhe and its vineyards, Ernesto decided in 1973 to leave the city to pursue his greatest passions: wine, vineyard and Langa. Thanks to continuous acquisitions over the time today the winery counts 35 hectares.
The wines are classic in style, refined and balanced, made with a deep respect for Barbaresco tradition. Each bottle reflects the gentle slopes of Treiso and the quiet precision of a family deeply rooted in the region.
