A newcomer to Barolo in origin but not in spirit, Simone Scaletta planted his first vines in Monforte d’Alba after trading city life in Turin for the slow rhythm of farming. This 2014 Barolo comes from his Bricco San Pietro vineyard, and expresses the lighter, more refined character of this vintage. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in large barrels, it balances gentle tannins with bright fruit and floral notes. Simone Scaletta

Simone Scaletta is a small, passionate winegrower in Monforte d’Alba, one of the historic villages of Barolo. After leaving a career in graphic design, he devoted himself entirely to wine, taking over just a few hectares of vines on the steep slopes of the Langhe. His philosophy has always been simple and uncompromising: respect for the land, organic farming, and wines that speak clearly of their origin. Simone works his vineyards by hand, following the rhythm of the seasons, and favors a style of Nebbiolo that is precise, elegant, and approachable without ever losing its depth.
