The Barbabecchi 2020 is made from Nerello Mascalese vines over 100 years old, grown on sandy, volcanic soils at an altitude of 900 meters. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral vessels, the wine emphasizes purity and elegance. It offers aromas of wild strawberries, dried flowers, and volcanic ash, with a lively minerality and refined tannins on the palate. Bright acidity and delicate red fruit flavors make this a wine of extraordinary finesse.

At the northern foot of Etna, where vineyards climb to 700–1,000 meters above the sea level, Rori and Cinzia Parasiliti founded SRC—a name that holds both their initials and a wink to the word "esserci" - to be there. Their old vines of Nerello Mascalese, Carricante, and Grenache stand as living witnesses to the volcano’s shifting moods, farmed organically and by hand.
