Tenuta Montanello, Barolo di Castiglione Falletto

Barely north of the famous Monprivato, Montanello’s land is enviable to any winemaker of Piemonte and winemaker Alberto Racca does not take this for granted. He inherited the property in the 1990s and has worked to replant subvarieties of Nebbiolo and convert these vineyards to organics to better show the incredible location of his land through results in wine. In the cellar, he works traditionally with a bit of modern flair - often begin- ning the aging process in barrique and following it with aging in the traditional botti. As Alberto guides his estate towards the future, we look forward to tasting how he captures the essence of his gorgeous property in Castiglione Falletto each year.

A prestigious red wine from Nebbiolo, emblematic of Piedmont's winemaking excellence, with firm tannins and aged in oak. Pairs well with Truffle risotto, prime rib and roasted meats.
