From the high-altitude vineyards of Mamoiada in Sardinia, Vike Vike's Cannonau Burda showcases the authentic character of the region. Made primarily from Cannonau grapes with a touch of native varieties, this wine reflects the unique terroir of the Elisi area, at 600 meters above sea level. Hand-harvested and fermented naturally, it spends 18 months in large oak barrels and an additional 4 months in bottle.
"Burda," meaning 'bastard' in the local dialect, symbolizes its origins as a one-year cultivation of a rented vineyard, resulting in a rare and limited production of 3,800 bottles.
Grape: 95% Cannonau, 5% other native varieties
Region: Mamoiada, Sardinia
