Located between the two wine-growing villages of Castelplanio and Poggio San Marcello in the province of Ancona, Albamocco is a project with a drive to create Verdicchio Classico dei Castelli di Jesi that shows the love the couple feels for their adopted home. Alessandra Venturi and her husband Filippo Russotto found this love after exploring the Marche and getting stranded during their travels - a local winemaker helped them return their vehicle to the road and introduced them to his vineyards and cellar. This was the moment of revelation for the couple, who immediately decided to uproot their life for Marche. They acquired land and farmed olives trees, began planting vines around these trees, and acquired an abandoned vineyard to begin the process of lovingly returning it to a fertile and flourishing site. Always farming as sustainably as possible, with a lean towards biodynamics, each bottle of wine made represents the intense passion Alessandra and Filippo have for their farm and new home.

If you enjoy the softness and ease of drinking of a Prosecco, you’ll surely enjoy discovering a sparkling Verdicchio which comes from a special project of Filippo (hence the name) utilizing a special training method, yielding a light, soft and fun sparkling wine. Drinking this wine is supporting a young generation, full of passion with a collaborative enthusiasm, which will ensure quality in the region for decades to come.

Albamocco

Sometimes, getting lost leads you exactly where you need to be. When Alessandra Venturi and Filippo Russotto took a wrong turn while exploring the hills of the Marche, they ended up outside the home of a local winemaker who invited them in for a glass of Verdicchio. That encounter became the seed of Albamocco. They restored an old stone farmhouse, planted olive trees, and brought back to life a small vineyard of Verdicchio. Their winemaking is intuitive, transparent, and hands-on, with minimal intervention and a deep respect for what nature offers.
