Azienda Agricola Possa - Cinque Terre Sciacchetrà 2023

Cantina Possa, led by winemaker Samuele Bonanini, is renowned for preserving the traditional winemaking practices of the Cinque Terre region. The Cinque Terre Sciacchetrà 2023 is a testament to this dedication, produced from hand-harvested Bosco and Rossese Bianco grapes cultivated on steep, terraced vineyards overlooking the Ligurian Sea. These vineyards, characterized by sandstone soils and an average vine age of 55 years, yield grapes with concentrated flavors and balanced acidity. The unique microclimate, influenced by maritime breezes and lots of sunlight, enhances the aromatic profile of the fruit. Post-harvest, the grapes undergo a meticulous drying process concentrate sugars and flavors. The wine macerates on the skins for approximately 28 days, imparting a subtle tannic structure. Aging occurs over a year in barrels made from pear and cherry wood. Bottled without filtration, the Sciacchetrà 2023 showcases a brilliant golden hue, with complex aromas of dried apricots, honey, and Mediterranean herbs. The palate offers a harmonious interplay of sweetness, acidity, and a lingering finish, embodying the essence of the Cinque Terre's heroic viticulture and unique terroir.
