Falkenstein has long been a benchmark for elegant Italian Riesling (Alto Adige region), blending precision with minerality in a way that feels almost architectural. The Anaduron comes from steep slopes of Naturno characterized by quartz and volcanic rocks. 2019 was a ripe yet balanced vintage, allowing this Riesling to marry verve with texture in an especially expressive way.
This is a Riesling that stands up beautifully to spice and umami, richer, vibrant plates while keeping a delicate poise of its own.

Franz and Bernadette Pratzner started Falkenstein in 1989 at their family farm above Naturno (Trentino Alto Adige), initially growing grapes alongside apples. Wine gradually became the centre of the estate, and today their daughters Magdalena and Michaela are also part of the project. Their steep vineyards, reaching around 900 metres, are particularly suited to Riesling and Pinot Bianco, which Falkenstein vinifies with long fermentations and ageing in large acacia barrels.
