Ribolla 2016 is made by Josko Gravner from Ribolla Gialla grown in Friuli, following his long-established method of fermentation on skins in Georgian amphorae. Farming is organic, with a strict, non-interventionist approach in the cellar. Extended maceration and aging give the wine structure and stability without relying on technology. A reference wine for skin-contact whites, produced with consistency and conviction.

Gravner is based in the Collio area of Friuli and led by Josko Gravner, a central figure in the region’s recent wine history. After years of conventional winemaking, the estate underwent a radical shift in the late 1990s, moving toward long macerations and a return to amphora fermentation inspired by ancient practices. Since then, the work has followed a strict and coherent path, with a limited number of wines and a strong emphasis on time and repetition. Gravner operates outside trends and market cycles, maintaining a singular approach shaped by conviction and long-term continuity.
