Valtiberia is made in Castelvetro di Modena, Emilia-Romagna, from Trebbiano Modenese with Trebbiano di Spagna, grown on silty and limestone-rich soils. Max Brondolo founded Podere Sotto il Noce in 2017, working organically and biodynamically on small plots surrounding a centuries-old walnut tree. The wine is fermented naturally and bottled for a second fermentation in bottle, following the most traditional Emilian farming culture. A lively, honest wine rooted in everyday conviviality and artisanal heritage.

Podere Sotto il Noce

Podere Sottoilnoce is Max Brondolo's small winery located on the outskirts of the medieval village of Castelvetro di Modena. The name comes from the imposing walnut tree that stands among the oldest vineyards on the estate (some reach 60 years of age). Max inaugurated his small business in 2017 from a purely artisanal idea, founded on the principles of organic agriculture and Steiner's biodynamic theories. The vineyard area extends over 6 hectares and the most classic varieties of the Emilian tradition are grown, some abandoned and rediscovered: Lambrusco (in its Grasparossa, Fioranese and Sorbara declinations), Trebbiano (in the Spanish and Modenese biotypes) and other native ones such as 'Tosca grape'. Podere Sottilnoce wines recall the most ancient and artisanal Emilian tradition.
