Scarzello Giorgio e Figli is a small gem of an estate located right in the heart of Barolo. The estate owns just five and a half hectares, nearly half of which are in Sarmassa, one of the region's top crus.
The wine is made exclusively from Nebbiolo, fermented with native yeasts and aged in large oak casks to preserve structure and transparency. Scarzello follows a classical approach, prioritizing vineyard expression and long-term balance over extraction. A clear, traditional Barolo shaped by site and time.

Scarzello

Scarzello is a small, family-run winery in the village of Barolo, where the family’s dream of making wine became a reality across generations. Today, Federico Scarzello carries on the legacy started by his grandfather and father, focusing on a traditional, minimal-intervention approach both in the vineyard and the cellar. The estate works mostly with Nebbiolo, making Barolo wines that are precise, structured and quietly expressive. Aging takes place in large oak barrels, and fermentations are long and spontaneous, allowing the wines to develop naturally.
