Nostrale Rosso is made in the hills of Mugello, north of Florence, from a traditional field blend centered on Sangiovese and Canaiolo, co-fermented with other local varieties. Michele Lorenzetti founded Terre di Giotto to bring forgotten vineyards back to life, farming organically and biodynamically at 500–600 meters above sea level. His work is guided by restraint and observation, letting soil and altitude shape the wine naturally. A rustic, vibrant red that reflects Mugello’s mountain landscape and a deeply personal vision of renewal through tradition.

Terre di Giotto

In the hills of Mugello near Vicchio, Michele Lorenzetti sowed his dream in 2006—planting life into three biodynamic hectares. At 500–600 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils, he revived vineyards of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Malvasia, Trebbiano, and Tempranillo, alongside high-altitude plots of Pinot Noir, Chenin, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Riesling—varieties traced back to 19th-century. Farming with precision and passion, harvests are by hand, fermentations breathe freely in concrete and amphora, and aging is done with quiet restraint.
