Valentini is considered one of the greatest producers in Italy, a family estate with a reputation for mystery and near-mythical status. Founded by Edoardo Valentini, who passed in 2006, the estate is now run by his son Francesco. They cultivate vineyards in Loreto Aprutino, high in the Abruzzo hills, and produce only three wines: Trebbiano, Cerasuolo, and Montepulciano. Yields are extremely low, methods are traditional and kept secret, and the wines are only released when deemed ready by the family.
